Richard Mille built Rafael Nadal a watch to play tennis in, and he smashed five.
Nadal refused at first, sure a watch would distract him on court, and agreed to try one only at the urging of King Juan Carlos of Spain. He shattered five prototypes before the RM 027 held, a tourbillon of 20 grams priced at $525,000. In September 2010 he wore one to win the US Open and complete his career Grand Slam.
