Popsicle was invented by an 11-year-old who forgot his drink outside.
In 1905, Frank Epperson left a cup of sugary water with a wooden mixing stick on his porch overnight. The night was freezing, the story goes, and he found it solid in the morning. He called it an Epsicle. He patented it 19 years later, then sold the rights, and later said, “I haven’t been the same since.”
