Nick Woodman went surfing in Australia, wanting to film himself but unable to strap a camera to his body. He funded the fix selling bead belts from a van. The first GoPro was a 35mm film camera worn on the wrist. GoPro’s 2014 stock market listing made Woodman a billionaire on paper.
