Dunkin’ started by selling to factory workers from a truck.
Bill Rosenberg sold coffee and doughnuts from catering trucks outside Boston’s factories from about 1945. Both sold so briskly that in 1948 he opened a shop — later renamed Dunkin’ Donuts.
