Inflation, supply-chain pressure, and repeated finance-team attempts to raise the price have all come and gone. Co-founder Jim Sinegal reportedly told Craig Jelinek, who would succeed him as chief executive, “If you raise the price of the hot dog, I will kill you.” It is still $1.50.
