When AB InBev, the brewer of Budweiser, agreed in 2012 to buy the rest of Corona’s Mexican maker for about $20 billion, the US Justice Department sued to stop it. The settlement of 2013 gave Constellation Brands a licence to sell Corona in the United States forever, one that AB InBev cannot end for any reason.
