Constellation Software was built by a man almost no one can picture.
Mark Leonard, a bearded recluse who gives no interviews, has quietly bought more than a thousand of the dullest software firms alive — marina billing, tee-sheet bookings, public-housing accounts. He almost never sells one. He started in 1995 with about C$25 million, and when Constellation went public in 2006 it raised no new money at all.
