White Castle had a medical student live on its burgers for 13 weeks.

So co-founder Billy Ingram hired a University of Minnesota biochemist to feed a medical student, Bernard Flesche, nothing but White Castle hamburgers and water for 13 weeks. Flesche stayed healthy, eating up to 24 a day by the end, and White Castle put the result in its ads.
