Timberland’s yellow boot was built for construction workers, not music videos.
The Abington Shoe Company developed the injection-molded boot in 1973 and renamed itself Timberland after it. New England’s outdoor workers bought it. Then in the early 1990s, hip-hop artists began wearing yellow Timberlands in music videos.
